Originally a historic fishing village, Murrells Inlet has kept much of its laid-back coastal character while offering great restaurants, shopping, boating, fishing, and easy access to the beach. It's known as the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina," and fresh seafood and life on the water are still a big part of the community.
The MarshWalk runs for about half a mile along the saltwater estuary and is one of the area's favorite places for waterfront dining, live music, and sunsets. Boating, kayaking, sightseeing tours, and charter fishing are all part of the Murrells Inlet lifestyle, with inshore, nearshore, and offshore fishing and tidal creeks and marshes to explore.
Murrells Inlet offers a relaxed Lowcountry atmosphere with Myrtle Beach just to the north and Huntington Beach State Park and Brookgreen Gardens nearby. Betsy Hyman and Farah Hyman of Diamond Shores Realty help buyers and sellers find the place that feels like home.
